A Nude Lip Trio That Pops!

Whether wearing a bold, smokey eye or barely any makeup at all, a nude lip is always flattering. The trio below has been my go-to nude lip-wear for the last few weeks, and I’m loving it so much, I just had to share!

Milani Color Statement Lip Liner in Nude (US $4.99 for 0.4 oz)
This lip liner by Milani is a total dupe for MAC. In fact, I may even like it better than MAC’s formula. It has the perfect balance between being just creamy enough to provide good color pay-off and yet firm enough to keep the product from moving outside of the lips. Isn’t that what makes a MAC lip liner so good? This one, however, is even more comfortable to wear and at $4.99, a much better price.

Clinique Pop Lip Color + Primer in Nude Pop (US $19.50 for 0.13 oz)
I’ve had this lipstick and the gloss below on my mind ever since Tati talked about them. As usual, the queen of product reviews is so right. This lipstick is lovely. It is satiny and comfortable on the lips. It does not accentuate any lines, and even seems to fill them in, likely due to the primer within it. It has put Clinique back on the map for me as a brand, and I so want to try the color Cherry Pop. The shade I currently own is a neutral pinky-nude that’s perfect for everyday wear.

Clinique Pop Splash Lip Gloss + Primer in Caramel Pop (US $18.50 for 0.14 oz)
A completely non-sticky gloss is a bit of a unicorn, right? I’m suspicious that such a thing is possible without becoming a different product altogether like, say, a lip oil. Clinique has managed to create one of the least sticky glosses I now own. It layers beautifully on top of lipsticks and imparts a substantial sheen without being over-the-top glossy. Caramel Pop is another gorgeous everyday shade that I imagine would pair well with many nude lipsticks. LOVE.

Each of these products is lovely on its own, but layering them together creates a lip that pops. Have you tried any of these items? Let me know in the comments!
